Apple's iPhone 5S sells-out in Australia, Hong Kong, & Singapore

Just after midnight local time, Apple began sales of their new flagship iPhone 5S to customers in in the Far East and Down Under, and orders were immediately met with delays of a week or more, pushing deliveries into the next month. iPhone 5C, which has been available for preorder since Sept. 13, shows shipping lead times of 1 to 3 business days in all three countries.

If you are planning to purchase the iPhone 5S in the US tonight, be prepared for similar shortages. Many carrier sources and US retail outlet we’ve heard from have told us that they have only have Space Grey iPhone 5S devices in stock for launch day tomorrow. That’s not to say some stock might arrive late tonight and throughout the day tomorrow. Perhaps a few high profile flagship stores will have stock on hand but as we’ve been told by one retailer, ordering online maybe the best way to go, and even then there are no guarantee.

Meanwhile, iOS 7 launch continues around the world, with many users abuzz over social media, with 37% of users upgrading within the first 24 hours. Mobile analytics firm Mixpanel has posted a cool widget that lets you track the number of users upgrading from iOS 6 to iOS 7:
